It begins

The ‘Anar‘ video is being well received on the blogosphere. We got another link on Iranian.com. I find the comments on that website quite fascinating and I am pleased that many Iranians can relate to the experience of enjoying Anar with an elder.

The purpose is to relive and capture my experiences as a child with my father through the eyes of my nephew. You must preserve things that are dear to you such as your heritage. The world is getting busy with it’s many distractions through technology and politics when we all should focus on enjoying our lives and the precious little things that make it beautiful.

We just want to make you laugh.

R.I.P. Nellie 1998 ~ 2008

February 26th, 2008

She had renal failure. I held her in my arms as she was put down. Nellie was rescued from a Pet Smart animal shelter program upon the return of my first trip to Japan. She was my mother’s comfort when I left home for college.

Nellie was such a sweet kitty. When she was younger she would chase shelled pistachios across the tiled floor to the tune of an unmistakable rattle. She loved watching the birds from the window and snuggling on the bed at night time.

Nellie, I know it was the right thing to do and if you had the capacity to understand you would approve of the decision.

Thank you for being a great cat.
